Arathusa Safari Lodge is a beautiful addition to Sabi Sand and is one of the best romantic bush getaways. With its beautiful panoramic views of the African bush from the lodge, you will quite often be enjoying breakfast or lunch while the various wildlife, including the Big Five, walk by. The lodge is also within viewing distance of the Kruger National Park.
Situated within the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Arathusa is well situated for one of Africa’s best Safari experiences, Sabi Sand is seen by many as the birthplace of sustainable eco-tourism and development in Sub-Saharan Africa. The game reserve is well known for their Big Five and various endangered species.
The park also shares 50 kilometers of its boundary with the neighbouring Kruger National Park, a vital part of the Greater Kruger National Park project. Animals are free to pass casually between the two parks, increasing the area’s biodiversity.

Arathusa is well known for its leopard sightings. The leopard in the area are well accustomed to the vehicles of the lodge, and this makes for regular and easy sightings of the beautiful animals. Furthermore, the area has an abundance of other wildlife, such as zebra, giraffe, warthogs and other animal species. It is also well frequented by the big five, with various lion prides, large buffalo and elephant herds and even rhino. For the bird watchers out there, the area is very rich with various birdlife.

Luxury Safaris range in a variety of prices and, as an indication of what to expect, one can pay anywhere from R2 000 to R20 000 per person per night sharing and more, depending on the choice of accommodation, season, specials and other determining factors.
